Harley-Davidson Increases Dividend and Announces New Stock Repurchase Program
On February 5, Harley-Davidson, Inc. (HOG) announced that the company would pay shareholders a dividend of $0.37 for the first quarter of 2018. In addition, the Board of Directors authorized a program allowing the company to repurchase up to 15 million shares of its common stock. This repurchase program is in addition to an existing program authorized in February 2016 that still has 10.6 million remaining authorized shares.
Sonal received the news and issued an alert to subscribers at 6:43 pm on February 5. The next trade took place at 7:34 pm for $46.40. Harley-Davidson stock opened for regular market trading the next morning at $45.87. The stock price pushed higher throughout the day before closing at $48.63.
