Harris Corporation Awarded $1.5 Billion in US Geospatial Intelligence Contracts
On July 10, Harris Corporation (HRS) reported that the company has been awarded three multi-award IDIQ contracts by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). Harris will create, manage, and distribute high-quality geospatial intelligence for the US intelligence community and military. The contract covers services for up to 10 years and totals $1.5 billion.

Although Harris Corporation’s stock price did not experience any gains on the day of the announcement, the price increased over the next five trading sessions. The stock closed at $151.66 on July 17 for a gain of 3.5%.
