FLIR Systems Receives U.S. Military Contract

Sensor systems developer, FLIR Systems (FLIR), landed a $74.7 million contract with the U.S. military on October 2. They will provide TacFLIR surveillance cameras in support of the U.S. Army EO/IR-Force Protection (FP) program.

The stock price continued to rise over the next four trading days. FLIR closed at $41.30 on October 6. Investors trading on this event earned a return of around 6% during that time.
